So this is pretty cool, i like that you've picked phpBB too, brings back a lot of memories. Now i just have to remember to come here ![]()
First post!
First post!
Congratulations! You made the very first post!
Thanks for your work getting the site up and running, obvs!
I need to turn off the post approval requirement for new users for the next few weeks or so.
Nicely done! Must be the Alzheimer’s kicking in, but I’ve forgotten phpbb entirely. I’ll have to relearn!
Tell me about it!
I feel like I've never used (or administered) phpbb before.
I enabled markdown, so you can use the same kinds of code you use on reddit.
Okay, for the time being, newly registered users do not need approval for posts.
Obviously we'll probably want to turn that back on after a certain amount of time.
Hello there!
Hello hello! Glad to see familiar faces!
This my first post ever to MacStack ever from my phone. It works! I just had to pinch to resize the page
Everything old is new again!
MacStack Part 2, Electric Boogaloo
The dark theme is there! Awesome, thanks, obvs.
Thanks for all your hard work getting the forum back up, obvs!
I had to remember paging! ![]()
Yeah, I'm thinking about maybe orienting the page numbers to the left or maybe installing an extension to allow loading more posts in a topic without needing to scroll, because that surprised me, too!
It has been a long ass time since I’ve been behind the scenes on a phpbb forum, but is there not a ‘posts per page’ setting?
You know what? You're absolutely right! Yeah, we could easily do like 50 or 100 posts per page. This is 2026 and not UltimateBB MacAddict Forums from 1999.
I think 50 posts per topic page and 50 topics per forum page makes sense for right now. If anyone wants to increase that, we can.
Sounds good to me!
