I need to turn off the post approval requirement for new users for the next few weeks or so.

I enabled markdown, so you can use the same kinds of code you use on reddit.
Okay, for the time being, newly registered users do not need approval for posts.
Obviously we'll probably want to turn that back on after a certain amount of time.
