This is a link to my favorite playlist. It's in Spanish(pop music), but it's really good, I promise!

And I use Qobuz, because it's good, it's not Spotify, and it's from France.

I don't stream music, unless you count youtube videos. I posted that SoundCloud link, but I listen to that DJs mixes on YouTube. Posted that link because he released that downloadable free track

I recognized only Jesse & Joy from your list. It wouldn't play. Region locked? or maybe it was my adblockers? or I need an account... anyway, I know one song from them, but it's one of my all time favorite songs.

I do know that song. I've seen Jesse & Joy in concert, and they were great. My favorite song from them is 3 A.M.:

I do have an older version of the playlist, from Spotify:

Been listening to this a lot after rediscovering it for the first time since I heard it on the school bus as an 8 year old in 1993, thanks to the Spotify algorithm, actually listened to the whole album, not bad

My pleasure! As of a couple of weeks ago it’d been forever since I heard it too!

Salsa music was created in New York City, late 60s to early 70s, combining Caribbean music with jazz elements.

These are covers of songs you may know

A couple years ago I got my grandparents record collection when they moved into assisted living and cleaned out their house.

I've been working my way through it. They had varied tastes.

I also got a pretty decent mixture of stereo equipment from them and a step-grandparent who was downsizing his setup.

I don't listen to much music at all lately, occasionally I'll relisten to something classic I've heard hundreds of times, get a slightly new experience from the current frame of mind, and perhaps I just do a lot of remembering of prior listening over the years. The reason for this type of behavior is that being a musician I'm constantly either playing music in my mind or practicing my instrument or writing music on a laptop, but more lately I've been having telling AI to write music that I send lyrics to and that has been fascinating from a listener perspective while feeling like you're part of the process of the creation. When I first started using AI songwriting tools I wondered if this is the future of music listening, an actual interactive experience where the music people will listen to music that will almost always be spontaneously created based on words they want to hear in specific genres they want created with specific performance cues to be enacted for new and unique listening experiences. Even if it takes 20 years for the world to catch up and think this way, the tools are already available for the songwriter mindset and that's very exciting.
