Physical exertion, or the things you do to stay alive these days

I started going to the gym again this week. I'm a little sore all over, but I feel so much better after just a week of working out. I feel I can breathe better, I feel happier, and I have lower stress levels. I just hope that's not all due to having this entire week off for spring break. Tomorrow I ...

Cookware

I have half a set of Lifetime stainless steel pots and pans that my mother had gifted to the grandparents around 35 years ago, which I absolutely love. I used to have the full set, but my mom came one day and switched half of the set with half of her Kenmore stainless steel pot set and reclaimed ...

Cars

Here's what I drive:

2018 Mini Cooper Countryman with the B36 engine. Fun to drive daily. Very reliable.

2004 Jaguar XKR coupe. Weekend car. I inherited it from my father when he passed away in 2017. I love driving this car.

The way I see it, it's fine for the middle and high school students who will only use it for word processors, slide presentations, web surfing, and whatever else gets them through school, as well as anyone else with a similar use case. If they try to play video games with it or do anything more ...

Physical exertion, or the things you do to stay alive these days

Then I started ADHD medication and now I forget to eat anything all day. What's that? 6:00 PM and all I've had for the day is a bowl of cereal? Well I guess that will work...

The same thing happens to me I forget to eat for an entire day... until my medication wears off, and suddenly I'm eating ...

Nintendo Switch 2: What do I do?

On a Nintendo, some games are staples: Legend of Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom (and if you haven't played it, Breath of the Wild, it's predecessor), Pokemon Games Legends of Arceus and Legends ZA are quite fun and different from the standard Pokemon game. Scarlett and Violet if you want a more ...

What music have people been listening to recently?

I really don't listen to this kind of music much, but like this:

I call this guy the latino Eminem

He's Puertorican and very political with his lyrics. Not the usual urban music artist in PR. Much older ...

What music have people been listening to recently?

Something oddball that my girlfriend introduced to me was Brazilian music. I ended up loving it while we were on our trip to Rio. Particularly I'm lately listening to a lot of:

  • Natirutz (Brazilian reggae band)

  • Tiago Iorc (Brazilian pop singer)

My grandfather has been in the ICU for a month

Thank you for your kind words.

He seems a bit more stable today. There's less blood in the bag and more urine. They still haven't biopsied him.

I am really sorry you are dealing with this.

You're in my thoughts, and best wishes for your family.

Thanks. He seems to be a bit better today. He ate all of his breakfast and his vitals are somewhat stable, except for his pulse which is still in a-fib and in the 120's.

I hate seeing this ...

My grandfather has been in the ICU for a month

:cry2:

My grandfather, 95 y/o, has been hospitalized for the past 31 days and prior to that he was in and out of the emergency room nearly daily in January due to severe pain and blood in his urine. My family decided not to tell me until I had taken the American Board of Periodontics exam, which I ...

I said I'd never buy Airpod Max headphones

I have defiantly avoided buying Airpods of any kind or Beats headphones. I'm sticking to my Sennheiser Momentum 3. Better sound quality than the Airpods although the ANC is marginal.

I'm glad you're liking them though.

I'm back, my sincerest apologies. I hope to see everyone back, it's been so long I don't even remember anyone I might have had issues with.

I’m so happy to see the return of macstack. To be frank, I mourned the loss of this forum and all the wonderful friends.

So much has happened. I’ve grown up so much. I think I’m no longer the brat I used to be.

What have you been up to all these years? Do we know who is still with us?
