And yes, I know it's a commercial site, but their normal plan is just $5 per month(but you can pay $10 if you want unlimited searches, or $25 including AI).
But no ads, relevant search results, no crappy AI, the ability to completely block sites or to search by site categories or to make it so certain sites always show up at the top of your search results or the bottom.
And they don't track your history or sell it to third parties.
They even have a separate browser extension, called "Kagi Privacy Pass". You just paste in the token from your account information, and allow the extension in incognito mode, and Kagi works in incognito mode, anonymously.
I subscribed, and I found it good enough that I honestly subscribed to their highest plan.
