Not so much lost as it was unused. When doing music videos directors often would record a take where the star for that music video gets to do whatever they like during that session. More an insurance roll from which the director could cut out a segment to fill in some portion in the full video which was lacking visually. Weird Al wrote that he doesn't recall that anything was used from this take that got into the actual "Eat It" video, but being recently re-found he thought that some fans might be amused.
