I can see the impetus for doing that in theory, but when it is applied, it's another story.

Tripping balls.

And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

But you’d think Apple would sell them all the time. Or do they?

I used to have a Brita bottle like that (the top straw part) & it was a nightmare to clean which I why I got rid of it.

You can get them on eBay. Justine gave me one once upon a time and I bought a second. She said she got it at the Apple store IIRC.

Apple used to sell a whole bunch of branded stuff, back in the '80s and early '90s. The more modern stuff is probably the result of internal purchases. (Employees end up with all sorts of branded swag for a variety of reasons. The original "I helped Apple wreck a nice beach" t-shirts being one example.)

Up to quite recently there USED to be an Apple Company store at 1 Infinity Loop (the old Apple headquarters before it got moved to the saucer). There the general public could buy such leftover Apple tchotchkes.

It has since been replaced by a regular Apple Store which sells JUST everyday Apple gear like Macs and iPhones but no tchotchkes.

Perhaps there is a new tchotchke store inside the saucer but likely it isn't open to the general public.

Still, we can't help but notice just how much this thing reminds us of our days tinkering with the defunct-from-birth Atari Jaguar, and we also can't imagine anyone with a shred of dignity ever pulling this abomination out in public. Kudos for imagination, though.

Pretty much sums it up right there.

How is that possible? The '80s were only like 20 years ago.
