That and when they turn their head and the wide angle makes the computer stop recognizing a face for a couple frames. Disturbing.
It's not my thing but I did find a deep fakes site and watched a few minutes of a bunch of vids and I did not find even one that was not obviously fake after 30 seconds of attentive viewing. The tech just ain't all that good if those vids were a good example.
Not even duct tape will fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Ya, Now you have to spend a lot of money on a high end PC to render dep fakes but look how cheap many cored CPUs have become already. Won't be long until stuff like 24core/48thread gear is cheap enough for any enthusiast. And the software is free: https://github.com/iperov/DeepFaceLab
