"I scanned the whole country of Austria and this is what I've found".
Some notable findings from the over 11.1 M possible addresses:
• 4 Windows CE servers.
• 9 HP printers with their "embedded" web servers fully exposed. In one case there was a FAX number connected to the printer, so the author could figure out a contact and got that person to remove the exposed server.
• over 300 webcams broadcasting livestreams without logins.
• some home automation systems and a sewage treatment plant that are fully accessible.

Windows CE--later renamed Windows Embedded Compact--basically was the limited version designed for kiosks (so ATMs or information booths or such). As pointed out in the original link: CE was first available starting in 1996 and its last update was in 2013.
The above link notes that the name change from "Windows CE" to "Windows Embedded CE" happened in 2006, so it is possible that those 4 CE machines date back to 2006 or earlier.
