me, i think i like innsbruck ('64) and nagano the best

Clearly the one that looks like Lisa Simpson going to town on the "2" and the "1".

I'm not sure what's worse, the Nazi logo, or the London 2012 logo where Lisa Simpson is giving a blowie.

I quite like the Torino Beijing and Vancouver logos.

Well now knowing that the 1936 Olympics had a Nazi logo, that one is definitely the worst.

I always say LA 84 hands down, but I'm digging Mexico 68 quite a bit right now.
The visuals don't hold up.

Us Vancouverites are all a bunch of dope fiends. :shifty:

Really though, Barcelona is a jumping athlete in Iberian colours, Australia is an athlete made of boomerangs, and Vancouver is an Inuit landmark or guide post. They might call back to it, but each one is a fresh take on the logo with its own spin on indigenous cultural appropriation. :paranoid:

The early ones didn't seem to be much concerned about presenting a logo. Olympics from earlier dates were even less so.

The progression reminds me of how advertising "jingles" went from being a full 32 bar songs to being a half measure or less.

Overall, I thing the logos have always been the weakest aspect of the olympic branding.

Munich had excellent simple pictograms for individual events.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.
