Why? it had fewer asteroids. The power required to make the asteroids rotate meant they couldn't have as many. It was the more trippy, relaxing version of Asteroids. Plus you had a shield instead of a hyperspace.

I have had that for my desktop at work at the hospital for sometime now.

I was asked by management if it was a bit on the violent side.
my answer was it was a nature motivation picture that taught two things.
the cat teaches you to extend your reach for things that are worth it.
the bird teaches you to pay attention.

it's still my desktop at work.

The Bad Astronomer on "the most detailed full image of MU69":

This is a mosaic combining 9 short-exposure images taken by New Horizons when it was about as close as it was going to get to MU69. The Sun was almost directly behind New Horizons so given MU69's axis of rotation this image shows the "skipping stones" almost flat.

Damn.

When my doc put me on lipitor, I cracked jokes about my blood being gravy (in between trips to the gym - I don't want to die), but I've got nothing on that guy.

Those are adorably cute, but check out the claws. Like any other kangaroo, those things can probably kick your ass six ways to Sunday.

Tree dwellers would need claws like that for climbing, I suppose.
