As a reply to uki's pic of bear cubs in a tree

(Um, right? You probably were not referring to the Hurricane Florence space pic immediately above and made an oblique reference to Mother Nature, yes?)

That adult bear at the base of the tree might not be their mom.

after a refresh and scrolling thru the posts, my comment is actually immediately following the bear pic.
if memory serves..... good luck finding cubs without their mom close buy.. death usually being the only reason she isn't around and cubs are usually lunch at that point.

Hayabusa 2 rovers send new images from Ryugu surface

Image

There's something they're calling a "movie", but it's a 10 frames time lapse. And it's video from twitter, which doesn't work for me, so I found it on youtube:

"New" version of CT scanning will allow archeologists to examine mummies non-destructively:

Image

a. is a view created with a standard X-ray, while b. and c. shows some of the details that were seen via CT scanning the particular cross-sections at the points indicated by the lines through parts of a.

That "new" in quotes because this method has been used in medicine for about a decade, but it took until now for someone to apply this technique to archeology with an Egyptian mummy's hand.

IMHO, they shouldn't call the solar system "deep space". Deep space should be outside the solar system.

Exactly. Also, consider just how far out those planets are. Sure, compared to the scope of our galaxy (never mind the universe), they seem pretty close, but even Mars is far.

Weird that they kinda sorta went with having it scaled and then said fiddlesticks it.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.
