Remember how VTech had gotten hacked such that millions of its customers' data were exposed?

Well, the company apparently did some soul-searching over the holidays and recently relaunched its web site which contains a provision in its TOS that it cannot be held responsible for any security breaches due to hacks:
Quote:
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT ANY INFORMATION YOU SEND OR RECEIVE DURING YOUR USE OF THE SITE MAY NOT BE SECURE AND MAY BE INTERCEPTED OR LATER ACQUIRED BY UNAUTHORIZED PARTIES.

Children who play should give up all expectations of privacy.
VTech settles with FTC over its security problem involving its database of children who used the company's "smart" toys.

The company paid $650,000. On the other hand this amounts to a dime per child (there being some 6.3 M kids' info being compromised).
