There's going to be a rare hybrid solar eclipse on Monday Nov. 3. However it'll only be visible as a partial eclipse in North and South America. If you want to see totality, you'll have to be in south central Africa or on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean.

I thought you are in Vancouver, BC, in which case you wouldn't have been able to see the partial eclipse because it was over before sunrise there.
