Well, steering might be hard to hold onto in an emergency - and the risk of falling asleep at the wheel has to be an issue...

I normally don't care for buildings where the architect does a weird ass design just to be different but damn, that's neat.
You mean like this? Don't stand in the wrong spot at certain times of the day and certain days of the year. Those panels will concentrate the rays and burn stuff.

I've long known about the destructive effects of antibiotics. Last time I took them, I followed the course with three brands of kefir. They also suppress the immune system generally, so I'm very wary of them. I take them only under a doctor's orders, for very specific reasons. Last time was for a tooth extraction. I know they can be useful, and I don't want to pull a Bobby Darin.

But I also give "the lecture" to anyone who says something like, "I had a cold, so I took antibiotics." I'm also astonished that doctors were giving out those bottles of sweet pink penicillin potion way back when, and parents would just naturally give their kids a dose whenever they were sick with something.
The dangers of bacteria developing resistance to antibiotics was not well known back when.

yeah but it's been known for a very long time now

i think the cdc recently said, basically, "guess what, idiots, we're now in the post-antibiotic era"

'very long' is a flexible term, mostly associated with your age. ;)

Is that supposed to be ice extruding from that hole? It looks more like plastic rod or tubing.

Dammit, shrink that!
Yeah, I've seen similar stickers on cars occasionally.

I was ready to point out how that was wrong, and then I noticed it was a link.

Looks good at first glance, until one considers the difficulty of steering and stroking at the same time. Kinda reminds me of the old Harley-Davidsons with the "suicide shifter".

Presumably one coasts through the turns.

Would be better if you could seat closer to the ground, IMHO.

Which is fine until you have to turn on an uphill.

Meh. The camera adds 20 pounds and the costume, lighting, and CGI add another 30 of muscle.

Just look at Ed Norton's before and after.

Wait, so you're saying she fit with the 'ideal woman' image of the time she was created so that she would appeal to a larger audience? fascinating.
