Does the name help them sell? Have they ever heard of Miami? where every other restaurant must be cuban? ooh, "conflict". There must be many cuban restaurants in New York city and other places in the US. Also, lots of Arab food restaurants (yes, they eat that all over the middle east). Even the Avengers love shawarmas.

"Conflict kitchen"

Yes, I read their "about" page. They're using controversy to sell. I don't like that.

They're using conflict to point out the absurdity of the conflicts we engage in.

At least it might make some people think, unlike the Hell's Kitchen nightclub and adjoining Angel Food Bakery I'm across the street from at the moment.

Those were in the news lately. Some folk in Hawaii and elsewhere think those scare the fish.

But yeah, looks like a ton of fun.

Well, the story behind this picture is from October 2008 AND it involves a restaurant inside a hotel at Sydney, Australia (so not something many of us will have to worry about). The best follow-up I could find says that the family settled for $50,000 (around half of which will pay the family's legal fees) and a full apology from the hotel with a retraction of any implication that the family had staged this.

As far as I can tell the restaurant is still in business.

There was a theme park near here based on the Wizard of Oz. I wonder if that shot is of some of it's remains?

A Silent Hill mod for Skyrim, maybe.

But no, it's indeed from an abandoned Wizard of OZ park.

An article about the park.

Quote:
The park opened on June 15, 1970 by Debbie Reynolds, accompanied by her then little-known daughter, Carrie Fisher. In its first summer 400,000 visitors came to the Land of Oz.

There are some chrome paints that can do that now.

We've played with some of these but not the chrome.
