Camera in underwater case survives over 5 years travelling from Hawaii to a beach in Taiwan:

Not only that: the camera was undamaged and pictures in storage were readable. The camera was found by two employees of China Airlines, and the airlines put some of the pictures online offering a free round-trip ticket to the person who lost her camera so she could retrieve it. The woman who lost the camera during a dive in 2007 has been found but it is unclear if and when she might fly to Taiwan because she recently started a new job.
