Not sure why I would be walking down a dark street at night... but I'd wear that.

Not for safety. Marty McFly only had a hat like that in 2015, this is a whole suit! it's 2021! we're in the future!

(damn, 3rd decade of the 21st century... uhm... I wanted star trek, not cyberpunk :goth:)

I mean, cool futuristic human waste!

anybody recognize that language?

they got... "creative"

Anyway, don't complain about them only having masks and air tanks in space, but no space suit, star wars is fantasy, not sci-fi. (remember the asteroid field cave in ep 5)

I'm talking about the weird ship and characters.

As a runner forced to run in the dark (stupid winter) this tech would be very helpful to ensure I don't get hit by a car.

I live on a street with no streetlights and no shoulder.
It doesn't get much traffic, but some people use it as a shortcut, and often go 20mph above the limit.
We walk to neighbors, and we also walk the dog, sometimes at night / dusk.
My wife will wear a headlamp, a reflector vest and have a illuminated collar on doggie just so the cars can see her. She would definitely get that.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

Looking at it the first thing I thought was that it was some new anti-paparazzi thing celebrities were wearing

That's Crimson Jack, a space pirate with a captured star destroyer, shooting at Han Solo. Marvel ran original stories between the release of each movie.

The virus is still raging and the same people are in charge who’ve been mismanaging everything since day one. Of course things are still terrible. I’m tired of blaming a number.

Was he the inspiration for Booster Terrik later?

No idea, but I'm pretty sure Shira Brie from the Marvel comics was the inspiration for Mara Jade.

I saw a video today about an upcoming 2000 HP electric lotus that will do that in under 3 seconds. Oh, and it will cost around 3 million dollars I think.

okay, first of all that gif has to be fake as hell, it would have been a joke even back then, and secondly, three seconds isn't that unusual, i think the top porsche (the one that killed the fast and furious guy) does it in less than that

i can't picture myself controlling a car accelerating that fast

Gaining a whole mile/hr each second going full throttle is so fast that people will no longer be able to retain consciousness due to g-force.

What is the fastest 1/4 mile time ever recorded?
Schumacher holds the world record for the fastest quarter-mile pass at 337.58 mph (543.15 km/h), and that should never be broken because these cars are so fast that today they only race to the 1,000-foot mark, for which Schumacher also holds the current speed record of 336.57 (541.65 km/h).

They're so fast that the friction with the ground switches direction for steering.

the unexecuted 1923 design for frank lloyd wright's national life insurance building

it would have been 25 stories tall and clad in copper

I think that has to do with Sci-Fi artists going to that stylistic well (of early 20th century art deco, futurism, etc) so often for inspiration.
