both my daughters took ballet and dance classes since they were about 3. what you see as a napkin is the crotch of the hose.. they always double up and had white cotton liners regardless of what color the hose were. both my girls complained if the cut was too high on the sides of the leotard when they got older... because of what you see... the oldest would say...... looks like a kotex hanging out.
