All you had to do was cut your own write-notch into the side, and you could make every single-sided floppy a double.
you weren't a real geek unless you had a big, strong hole punch

I had one of those. But it was black. I had several hundred games for my Commodore 64. About 5 or 6 that I actually paid for.

I'm sorry Dave...

This despite enough placement in the "news" that would embarrass Bernays.

I have a few unopened cases of those. I still regularly use them in my 8032 PET. My Win98 backup PC has one as well. I occasionally recover old documents for clients with it.

Perhaps, but she looks totally hot.

Haven't seen it in years, but I remember the shark looked very real to me.

Holy crap, I had that exact modem for years! Interestingly, it used a Rockwell DSP chip that was upgradable. By the time I took it out of service, it was capable of doing 33.6kbps. 56kbps required more advanced modem codecs than the hardware could support, so I had to replace it when that became the standard, but that was an unbelievable little modem in its day.

It still looked real in the theme park too.

Of course, I was probably about 7 or 8 when I saw it, but it was scary.

Supra was bought by Diamond. They still sell modems. Made DSL modems for a while too.

They just tracked a Great White in the Long Island Sound--off the coast of Greenwich CT. First time they ever confirmed one in those waters.
Had this happened when I was a kid, I would not have ever gone swimming in the sound.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.
