And that was a GOOD Saturday night--I mean Barbie Benton and Adrienne Barbeau on the same night? That's pretty decent boobage.
I imagine the next week Barbeau would be on Love Boat and Benton would be on Fantasy Island.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

Wow.
Ski Jump has changed so much over the years.
In this clip, it looks like he starts in some kind of grooves in a track, instead of on snow.
And, do you remember when the commentators would say "He has to keep the tips of his skis together ... " for aerodynamics?

compare and contrast:

Yes.
His name is Vinko Bogataj, and the internet says this happened in 1970, so I guess I'll believe that, but in my memory I recall it in the late '60s,, but my brains are scrambled ...

That was a great show. It could be F-1 racing or bill fishing or anything in between.

In the ensuing years, unbeknownst to him, the fall became an iconic image in America. "He didn't have a clue he was famous," his daughter said. That changed when ABC tracked him down in 1981 and asked him to attend a ceremony in New York to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Wide World of Sports. At the gala Bogataj received the loudest ovation among a group that included some of the best-known athletes in the world. The moment became truly surreal for Bogataj when Muhammad Ali asked for his autograph.

"He didn't take Ali seriously that he wanted an autograph, because Muhammad Ali is a really famous guy," his daughter said. "That was a special moment. Then he realized that he too must be famous."

It's not that far to the regular fridge, which can hold beer. Beer fridges are for the man cave at the far end of the house (or in the bonus room) where access to the regular fridge requires a trek.
