Regardless of whether you like it or not, this is where I say, "fiddlesticks you people!" If its not a safety hazard they can shut the fiddlesticks up.
I've driven by the old house hundreds of times and its always been ugly...but it provided amusement for the road, and its new ugly is an improvement.
If you want to live on a giant miniature-golf course, that's your business.
