This is related to a topic we discussed when out family had dinner with our neighbor's family a few weeks ago.
Many of the kids (all between 12 and 16) find the idea of having a conversation--no matter how brief--with a cashier, or someone in a waiting room, etc. duty--as something they thought should be avoided as much as possible.
My neighbor was talking about striking up a conversation with a fellow juror and his daughter (15) spoke of the very idea of doing that completely frightening.
I'm not the most social person in the world, but my kids kid me about "making friends" all the time because I occasionally have a polite chat with strangers.

In my late early/mid '20s, my dad and stepmother would bother me about how I should be striking up conversations with waitresses. "She's cute!" they'd say. "She's at work!" I would reply.

Different times, different rules. And that's just one generation. Dating by my grandparents rules would have been living hell.

It is not the sunlight that kills them, but the UV, which the moon does not reflect.

Yes it does.

You haven't met my dad.

He sucks the life out of anyone nearby.
Doe he get enough sun?

That was a pseudo-scientific explanation for why all sorts of reflected sunlight would not destroy vampires.

Only True Believers understand that it is the purity of God's Light that will do THAT job.

Version 2.5 was important for some reason. IIRC it was the version required to work with my Radius accelerator card, but I think it might also have been the first version to support layers or something.

Mike the Chicken

It's a true story, and the only reason it finally keeled over is that its owner lost the syringe they used to clear its throat.

The chicken's home town even has a festival in his honor

Yes, now even your crapper can be connected to the Internet. This one apparently features Alexa, so you can ask her questions while you bomb the bowl like a B-2.
