Reminds me of a girlfriend I had Freshman year in college.

An electric mustang copy, because that's what it is, made by a russian startup company?

http://aviarmotors.com/

The specs are amazing:

The R67 will use two electric motors [so it's all wheel drive] with a total output of 840 hp, allowing it to go from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.2s and reach 155 mph. Its target driving range is about 300 mi.

That relatively slow top speed says a lot about improvements in aero since those cars were designed.
Not even duct tape will fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

But what I really want, is one that only looks like the classic on the outside, but with modern engine, transmission, suspension, etc, including a stereo with bluetooth and more comfortable seats, and modern seat belts, and airbags, and whatnot. And forgive the blasphemy, but I'd accept one of those 6 cylinder with turbo ecoboost engines ford has now. It's called being a nostalgic geek.

my burning desire is to convert a classic car into an ev

i still browse the classic car sites (for instance https://countryclassiccars.com/ ) and dream my little dreams

I don't know. I think it says 1971. A little googling made me think there's a chance it's real.
