I'm imagining a kid who has perfect understanding of English grammar and excellent composition, but fails the lowest levels of primary school English for saying "zee" instead of "zed".

And then you somehow get your life on track, and make it a few years in, and you're once again dealt a huge setback for leaving out some "u"s.

You're considered dyslexic for the way you write your dates, and you can't tell what the temperature is outside to save your life.
Then, one day you discover America!

They were very tongue-in-cheek. A lot of their stuff and stage show was basically shtick.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

I saw them once in '74. It was a VERY good show.

My first concert was that tour. Radio City Music Hall.
I recall half the fans were dressed like bikers which was a great contrast to the ornate art deco decor of the lobby.
One of my best friends and I bonded over them, and have seen them about 4-5 times since, most recently this past spring.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

Wow, that would have been the Secret Treaties tour. I'm jealous.

That's the one. I can't remember if my favorite song was Dominance and Submission, or Harvester of Eyes.
