Seven strings?
Is that like a real guitar? Is there such a thing as a seven string; or is that supposed to be part of the joke?

Which is small potatoes - a Renaissance Lute has like 15 or something like that. (They vary.) It's honestly more like a harp with a fretboard and a body.

I've heard of six strings and twelve strings, but I've never run across a seven (or 8 or 9) string guitar.

Huh. How about that ... ya learn somethin' new everyday!

Lutes were largely strung in courses much like a 12 string guitar (which is strung with six courses, four of them arranged in octaves). So the 15 string lute was typically a 8-course instrument with one course being a single string. iirc courses on lutes were not typically paired in octvaves but in unison.

The 7 string guitar got some popularity in the late 90s, and you still see them around. I believe acoustic ones were produced before wwII.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

I love it when the chicken suddenly turns its head.

Also, banning by breed is stupid. And pointless.

I'd rather ban ignorant people from my city than a specific breed of animal.

I think that's a Boxer, rather than a Pit.
I could be wrong ...
The "bowing" posture is an invitation to play tag, in dogspeak. I can't say if the chicken knows this, or not.

It is indeed a boxer and I do believe he's just playing.

He is playing. I don't think the chicken is playing.

I have heard of shelters where are adoption bans that include anything that looks like a pit.

I dunno. Ever see a pug's skull?
Looks like it was designed to torture the animal.

At times I think ALL breeds should be banned.

It's pretty blurry, but I reverse-GIS'd the image and apparently they shot a loose tiger in Atlanta after it ran around for a bit and attacked a dog.

The dog is fine.

Ah, dvfail. The first result was this story:

https://www.cnn.com/2017/09/06/us/tiger ... index.html

But further down it mentions this:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/video ... hway-video

So Qatar I guess.

Jeezus... Did the photographer take that photo through their own uncouth individual? That pic is blurry as fiddlesticks.
