Yep, all the rare clear plastic stuff were prototypes so they could verify fitment of the internals and check alignments.

There's a clear Newton 110 on ebay right now.

I love that interior. Adam Curtis uses footage of it in his films that deal with the hope and promise of technology.

Photos in old camera are from the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens:

A photographer was rummaging through old cameras at a Goodwill looking for those with undeveloped film. The camera itself dates back to about 1938 so she took the roll of film to a specialty shop that deals with vintage types of film.

There were also some family pics which were printed by the Oregonian newspaper. A reader identified himself in one. The camera had been owned by his now-late grandmother who was also in some pics.

The photographer will return the camera and the pictures to that family.
