And pork bellies.

And pig's feet.

Truly, the gift that keeps giving.

God bless the internet !
I remember that picture. The cat apparently miscalculated its leap because the surface from which it was leaping was too slick for its paws to grip properly so instead of making an easy jump it found itself falling.
I  too.

No, not really. That's a tug preparing to connect to the big ship after the big ship crushed a fishing boat and killed most of the crew.

I would so much like to see a state-of the-art animated feature Popeye--but it would have to include Popeye settling matters in the way he does best: in a spinach-fueled frenzy of punching the living human waste out of his adversaries.

rjprice: any clue as to who created it? I have an illustrator friend who is dying tho know.

I've seen other work by this artist (He has a remarkable Fred Flintstone), but I can't remember for the life of me, his name.

Sorry, I don't know. It is a pretty nice piece of work though. Maybe that is enough?

I have a technical question about this photo, that I will post in the photography thread.

I'm been squinting at that picture to try and figure out what it is. As best I can tell its a capacitor (green cylinder). See the copper wire snaking out of the back end and going back to the plug? Its probably wired in across the hot and cold circuit, which would be useless and dangerous. So my fall-back position is that this is a picture on the internet and does not necessarily represent anything. ;)

Def'nitly a battery. And that hackjob charger cannot possibly be safe.

Without a wheatstone bridge in the circuit (not evident from the picture) its not going to work as a battery charger.
