The colors are punched up more than too much. Note the white sandstone has a marked blue cast. However I'd still like to visit that. I assume its somewhere in Southern Utah.

The colours are probably because it's a timed exposure night shot, possibly a composite of multiple ones at different times.

Just out of curiosity, though, I wonder how much bone-in bananas cost.

About 10% less. It's not much work to de-bone them.

Chinese man learns that his walnut cracker is actually an old hand grenade--without a pin--likely made during the 1960s:

Image
.

He had been using it to smash open walnuts since being given this in 1991.

He turned it in to local police after seeing a flyer that warned people to look out for things looking like this.

Chances are that the police will determine that it is a dummy grenade used during Army training so infantrymen could get used to throwing such, but still....

Photographer processes collection of 31 undeveloped film from one WWII soldier.

Grumph--that web site doesn't allow off-site linking of its pics. There are some sample shots and a short film in which the photographer showed what he did to develop those rolls.

The price and the yellowed newsprint I shouold be the clue there. As hard as it may be to believe, there was a time when the US had its head further up its ass when it came to sexuality.
