This repair looks like the real dill, but if they stop too hard, they might be in a pickle.

Not a very happy one. Dinner for one, 5 bottle of wine, and a case of beer. Mattress on the floor. fiddlesticks.

And what's with the necklace?

It's a futon. It's supposed to be on the floor.

That's one type of couch frame sans cushions. Sorry but a futon really does by definition go on the floor. ;)

And yeah, there's a sad backstory to that picture. Hence I wouldn't want a depressing piece of art on my wall. Though kudos to the artist for more than just a pretty picture.

Two pillows on the floor, dinner for TWO, but one remains untouched. The date didn't show; or perhaps just didn't eat ...

Yeah that's just the stupid crap that is about all you can find in certain parts of America. I've been looking for a proper futon for years. Most of those couch jobs are just foam slabs.

My grandmother spent 14 years occasionally forgetting and setting the table for two.

If that much alcohol was consumed by fewer than four people, nothing good happened.

I'm pretty sure the necklace and uneaten ramen, as well as the generally dark tone of the work, is symbolic of having lost someone. Whether due to tragedy or just a breakup isn't as obvious.

by the way, the title of the other work, the one with the woman sleeping with the bottles and such around, is entitled "dreaming of the second impact"
