What am I missing there? That appears to be county sheriff from Orange County, CA.
'Making a difference' is no more ironic than any other stupid slogan.

The 10th Doctor cosplaying as the 12th Doctor. Or as himself, they're the same character :p

Oh, and the other guy is some fan.

Photographer shows off Pyongyang's Metro in photoessay:

Image

Previously no Westerners were allowed to go anywhere except 2 (recently expanded to 6) stations in a system with 13 stations and 2 lines. It had been suspected that maps showing the complete system were merely for show and that there were only 2 stations.

quite a fascinating photo essay ... as a bit of a subway geek i enjoyed it

anyone else notice the facial expressions of people in photos from north korea? they're almost always impassive or extremely sour

so much about that country seems like it's right out of a movie studio

also: holy crap, that's a deep subway! i can't imagine how much it cost to make that happen

It's Best Korea. If they smile too much, someone will turn them in and get their whole family deported to a prison camp (or worse)

I wonder if it's possible to have a subway system that beautiful in a place that isn't run like a modern day Airstrip One.
