I had stayed home from work specifically to watch that launch of Challenger. It had been years since I had made any effort to watch a shuttle launch.

I still feel the numbness I felt whenever I happen to see any of the post-explosion footage of the debris landing in the ocean.

There is a video making the rounds on Facebook of several dozen winter car crashes. This one included. They all seem to boil down to too much speed and too many questionable passes. I am constantly amazed at people who think the posted speed limit is a good idea even in winter driving conditions.

And that BASE jumper... OI! Razor wire! That would truly suck.
