The Random Image Thread (keeping it PG-13 at the worst)
I have a photo of a headstone for a child that lived less than a day... who died in 1969. When I was in the cemetery photographing headstones in early spring, it had a new stuffed bear and a plaster "cherub angel" sort of thing there, meaning they had been left recently. That was in 2004, meaning that someone tended that little headstone for 36 years.
Children who never had a chance to really live must leave an almost unfathomable hole in the lives of their family.

I'm sorry Dave...

It does have this limitation: an image-use contract with Hanna Barbara will have to be renegotiated as the current contract is with the family (a branch of which has another Flintstones theme park in North Dakota).
I used to pass that place about once a week when I worked up at the Grand Canyon.

Marked chalkboards from 1917 discovered hidden behind newer ones being removed at high school:

The chalkboards were to be replaced with whiteboards.

That looks like a kinda neat marketing stunt, and might have some use in education (showing elementary school kids how projectors work) but if the photos in the article are any indication, it's an absolutely terrible projector.

Not even duct tape will fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.
