That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile!

Dashcam video with some details here. NOTE: NSFW because there is some profanity spoken by the driver of the truck watching this. I have set the video to start shortly before the accident (there is 3:20 of video which preceded this). After you see the flames erupt the driver did get out to check on the people in the jumping semi. While the video runs for another 6 minutes, basically there is nothing else to see except for the driver returning shortly before the video ends.
Though the date stamp on the video says the accident occurred some time ago, the incident occurred yesterday [i.e., August 2, 2013] afternoon in Greensburg, Indiana.

According to the Indy Star, the truck driver, Ryan T. Young, 30, and his 7-year-old son, were driving on Interstate 74 when Young suddenly had to swerve to avoid a car that had drifted into his lane. Young's truck ran up an embankment and flew across the road.

A press release from Decatur County describes the accident, "Ryan T. Young of Owenton, KY was eastbound on I-74 approaching exit 132 when another vehicle began drifting into his lane. Young told S/Tpr. Noah he swerved to avoid the other vehicle and ran off the south side of the interstate where the semi ran up a hill then through the guardrail.

"The semi then continued eastbound as it "ramped" the U.S. 421 interchange before striking another guardrail tearing off the fuel tanks causing the fuel to ignite. Young suffered some minor facial and head injuries and his seven year old son (name not known) who was a passenger in the semi, suffered only a few scratches."

The two were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The crash is under investigation.

Yay for existing tech being used in a cool new way. Induction has been around for awhile now. We love our induction range.

See, I immediately saw "mac haic" or whatever on the license plate cover and giggled.

(Also pronounced "Mac Hawk" for those who aren't seeing what I saw.)

For mmaverick:

Image

It's a photo on Shorpy titled "Mystery Coach 1910" where they were prompting viewers to comment on what it might be. I was noticing the rows of straps hanging down.

That's a Hooverville.

I was wondering which spot it was in --it was where the great lawn is now--it used to be the reservoir.

At first I thought it might have been Seneca village -or one of the other shanty towns that occupied the land before the park was built, but the neighboring buildings look more recent.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.
