A look at the contents of an 100-year-old time capsule:

Image

Originally this time capsule was sealed in 1914 and was supposed to have been opened in 1974, the tricentennial of the New Netherland Company Charter, but people lost track of the time capsule until the 1990s and it was decided to wait until the centennial of when it was sealed.

The box itself has been re-sealed with artifacts to be opened in 2114:

Flesh-colored uniforms.

I usually don't like linking to a google page, but ... there's a lot going on here.

I can't blame you. I'm pretty sure there should have been a landing strip if they really wanted to go for authenticity. Oh, wait. Never mind... :heh:

Its a good thing horses don't have a strong revenge tendency, like cats. ;)

Personally owned no. Neighbors who would let me ride theirs almost whenever I wanted yes. Horses are skittish chickens. For example if flowers bloom along a trail and they weren't there on the ride the week before, they can bolt. If they have any tendency for revenge I never experienced it. Then again I never abused them nor did the owners. They'll test limits certainly, but that's different.

That he made that statement tells me no. Anyone who has been around horses knows that they can be sweet and friendly, or mean and ornery as hell. And yes, they are quite capable of exacting revenge.

Mean and ornery always appeared to be a reaction to prior mistreatment, at least as well as I understood those horses' histories. I stayed away from those in the stables.

Yes, that is certainly true. However, some horses are just uncouth individuals, regardless of how they are treated.

OK, and I'm happy to say my time with horses was limited enough not to have experienced that.
