The new Wonder Woman suit in 'Batman v Superman'. fiddlesticks that, I mean... the suit, not... because that suit is horrible and... seems like Batman is the only one who will still look like Batman.

He was back in the ol' red, white, and blue by the end of the second movie, and I think he's still in it for Avengers 2.
Marvel, I think, has done a decent job with the costumes, other than where they would have looked too ridiculous (like Wolverine in yellow Spandex).
I was surprised to hear thunderstorms are so rare in SoCal.
If a boat is a hole in the water you throw money in, do you really want your ship to come in?

Rare enough that the reporter misspelled "lightening" in the caption to that pic. I think that in the LA Basin proper we get thunderstorms at most twice a year with a lot of years with none. Thunderstorms are more common in the northern desert around Palmdale and mountains between that and LA, so they are close enough that sometimes we can see lightning flashes in the thunderheads but far enough that we cannot hear any thunder.
Hmm...I thought I heard a thunder a couple of times but it was distant enough that I did not note any associated flashes of lightning so I dismissed them as being miscellaneous city noises.

Well, Lunokhod 2 did do that over a period of 5.5 months, and had the benefit of direct (though slightly delayed) communication with the Earth so there probably were dozens of scientists and technicians guiding it while it was active.
Good luck on your next half-year-long commute.

Everytime I see the pictures of those specially carved cabinets, my eyes and brain hurt.
