I assume so - nobody else could get away with it.

Whew.

Talk about 'global warming'.

At least those in monasteries can find some water...need to cool down here.
860 cubic miles of water is still a vast amount of water.

Yes. Otherwise, how would these creatures exist?

A sphere about 860 miles in diameter.

Has to be more... I think. How about the water inside all living beings?

Damn, I'm suddenly thirsty. ::grabs water bottle and takes a long zip::

Nope. You can see from the linked article that the folks at USGS attempted to account for ALL of the water in and on the Earth. I suppose some concession could be made for parts of the crust that have few or no samples, and for the deeper parts of the Earth for which we have no understanding of its water content--there might be as much or more water there but we have no way of estimating it.

The vast majority of water is in the world's oceans but that is merely a skin that averages about a mile-and-a-half deep. On the scale of that graphic image with the Earth about 2.5 inches across, that skin of water averages about 5 ten-thousandth of a inch.

I'd like to see a similar image illustrating the atmosphere.

Fodge, Shnicky, a word in my office..

Now, I know you two love to argue if not with each other then just in general and that's neato and all but you both can't be on the same page. It's messing with the natural order and that's bad for morale. Dan will be by to reword this into office-speak as our translator and leave copies on your desk for trashcan filing because it's literally impossible to work out what it related to or why it's telling you.
