Wow, what's the deal with Bergen / Hudson / Essex county NJ?
Been in that area--didn't find it all that churchy.
Funny how that state line of Maine / NH is so clearly defined.

And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

Don't forget it's counting tweets. Maybe there's two guys in those counties tweeting and they only talk about Jesus.

Don't think I believe it for IL.

Oh darn, no, Nevada. We have a couple of neutral zones still. Might have to consider moving to MA.
Look closer. There's a deep red zone around Carson City.

It also seems to correlate pretty well with Democrat vs Republican states.
Notice how outside the South, major cities which are typically Democrat are often also red?
Yes, I did say 'pretty well' and not 'perfectly matching'.

I saw that Buffalo and surrounding area was red.
I've spent a few weeks in Buffalo, I heard much more talk of beer than church.
Maybe they are tweeting about going to confession after tying one on the night before?

Seeing that New Orleans is red confirms my theory that the "church" tweeting is related to "going to confession" after a big night out.
Plus I suppose the "beer" tweets aren't covering Sazerac or Hurricanes.
