Projecting here, but my guess would be:
You already have a swing set, we don't get toys that need batteries because batteries are too expensive, and were not getting a dog because it's not allowed in the lease.
That's not a dog, that's a Tauntaun.
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

My first business was built around those machines. I cleaned and serviced rental VCRs for the video rental businesses that popped up all over in the late 70s and 80s. Then I expanded into servicing customer machines. Sony maintained a parts warehouse in my city that sold to anyone, over the counter, Sony spare parts. Sony used to be a fine company to deal with. I bought my first condo with money I made from that. And I was still in high school. What an awesome era. So much opportunity in stupid luxury items.

I hope the work that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has done on malaria will come up with a cure soon. That's way too many people who die each year from a parasite transmitted by friggin' little insect.
There's a vaccine that's showing promise, but it has to be injected intravenously. That would make it a non-starter for widespread immunization of developing nations and would be another item for the developed nations only.

Torture a man and he'll tell you anything. In this case, Iggy Pop is saying "Justin Bieber is the future of rock'n'roll".

It's a campaign against torture. And I agree, but, I don't see much difference with the normal look of Iggy. They went easy on him. And the Bieber hate is so overdone it's now a joke.
And rock is dead. It has no future.
