There's only one Goonies. I dunno if there's a '"The" in front of it, or why i did that.

Benjamin Buttons
I think this is the single most depressing movie I have ever seen.
It's all about getting old and dying.
Yea.
I've been depressed for two days.

This is the second time I watched it, and yes it's good, both times. I almost cried - I would have let myself if I hadn't been in a room full of people.

I feel like I need a Sean Penn marathon now - watch Dead Man Walking again, and then see Milk.

Dead Man Walking is a great flick!
I suggest At Close Range and Bad Boys. The Bad Boys no one on the planet knows about except me.

I've been working through the x men trilogy over the last few days. They're fun, but have some continuity issues.

I watched Wall•E last night for the 1st time. Purchased it from the iTMS, put it on my iPod, and played that thru the TV.

I watched Mt Best Friends Girl the other night. It was a typical Kate Hudson romantic comedy, but significantly raunchier.

I didn't find Benjamin Button depressing. I don't really care for films that utilize the narrator/flashback method (Slumdog Millionaire does this better), but overall I liked it.

You guys are gonna call blatherskite on me, but, seriously.
I knew while I was watching it (Ben.Butt.), that it was an Oscar movie. I figure it will get the award for makeup, (making Brad Pitt look like a teenager was cooler than making him look old), and it is obviously a first class production.
But, I knew it was an Oscar movie because it has that kinda vibe; like literature, ya know?
'Cause the high brows at the academy will never vote for a superhero or spaceship movie for "Best Picture". LOTR is the only one in history that even comes close to epic fantasy winning the Oscar, and it took three separate films and the English department's begrudging acceptance of Tolkien as genuine literature to do that!
