Ocean's Twelve is the best of the series, in my opinion.

Andromeda Strain Such a great egg-head movie.

Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women 1/10 OK, you have the awesome title, a top-billing for Mamie Van Doren, and Roger Corman producing--so you would think "this is gonna be awesome" right? Not. This movie is sssssllllloooowwww. There is nothing good about this. Hardly any jiggle going on and no decent interaction between the astronauts and the lovely women of Venus. This piece of crap was actually directed by Peter Bogdonovich. Gotta love that this was made the same year as 2001: A Space Odyssey . The "special effects" look like they were made in the 1930s.
And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him.

The Enemy Below (with Danish subtitles). I'm a sucker for a good submarine movie, and apart from some questionable acting from some of the ratings, it's a good adventure.

I watched Something Borrowed. It was a good flick, but i was disappointed in the ending.

I watched
X-Men: First Class last night. Very entertaining, and I much appreciated the details put in to blend them into the other chronologically later movies. Big grin for the Hugh Jackman cameo.

The American President. Cute movie - I mostly like it because it was the inspiration for The West Wing series, which used the same sets and many of the actors in it.

Tonight we watched 'Super 8' for the first time, which I found to be entertaining, if a little bit flawed. And we watched '28 Days Later' for the first time in awhile. Such an awesome movie, I love it more every time I watch it.

It was my first time watching The Terminator 2. I saw the first one for the first time a few months ago.
I got my mom signed up for Netflix just now. I surprised her with a Roku yesterday. It's pretty cool, but would be better if it also had AirPlay, iTunes sharing, YouTube, and custom podcast URLs. Otherwise it seemed more appealing than an Apple TV.

I saw it high out of my mind in a theatre in Amsterdamn on a giant screen with velvet curtains. It was awesome and the only way it ought to be viewed.

The Quantum of Solace. First time I've seen a Daniel Craig Bond flick. Pretty good, there's some stuff to like. But so intensely action-oriented I felt exhausted afterward.

BTW: that futuristic "hotel" near the end of Quantum of Solace?
This is the dormitory for the scientists and others working at the European Southern Observatory at Paranal, Chile, although the interior shots were sets made up for the movie and probably filmed at a studio in the UK. You can see that the dormitory is some distance away and below the peak with the telescopes (the nubs on the mountain top on the left). The picture is a link to the ESO site and there is a larger version of this picture there.
