Good, fun, but hardly great

You were expecting great?

Not really, I was hoping for good, however the reviews said it sucked. I suspect most reviewers aren't particularly fond of action movies though.

Most reviewers aren't fond of anything.

The A-Team movie was better, though.

True but they seem to hate some genres less than others.

I would have called it the other way myself. Still differences in taste.

TV show, but Heroes seasons 1 and 2.

Lots of Star Trek folks showing up there.
Toy Story 3. Loved it!

Right now the lady's got Eat Pray Love on while I try really hard to far around online and not pay attention. Unless Julia Roberts flashes her boobs, which doesn't seem likely.
::smacks user with a trout::

She said movie not TV show/series.

Did they try to wrap up heroes or did it just unceremoniously end? My partner used to watch it, though I only half paid attention.

I recently watched 3 Days of the Condor too. Neat flick! I'd forgotten about the scenes inside the World Trade Centre. But overall it's one paranoid-ass film.
i finally saw Superbad

it was funny, i liked it.

I read while researching the series that it jumped the shark in the 4th season and was cancelled without a resolution.

However, I've checked out the third season from the store and it looks to me like the corruption started early. Why the hell did they have to save the cheerleader at all?
To save the world? Seasons 1 and 2 are solid, 3 is iffy and 4 is not spoken about.

Ehh, it's probably just bad/inconsistent writing:

Sylar cut off the top of her head at the start of season 3, gets her ability, gives her skull back and tells her he couldn't kill her is he wanted to. There never was any need to save her at all because she always would have survived.

I disagree.

Well, maybe if you compare it to Sin City and 300 it does.

Grown Ups had some really funny parts that made the movie worth seeing.

Just tried to watch Casino Royale. It's fun seeing the 60s kitsch, but it's such a fucked-up movie I shut it off halfway through.

Guess I wasn't stoned enough.

OK, let me put it this way...I was entertained but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in theaters. It was a messy conflict of styles with little substance, trying to capture the pulp noir of the comics but injecting it with modern wannabe-hip, and seldom witty, Tarentino-esque humor. The action wasn't tense enough to be interesting, there were too many characters with too little characterization, and often shockingly bad dialogue. Now I realize some of this stuff was probably intentional, but intentionally making stuff bad usually doesn't produce great results. Still, it looked pretty enough to divert me for a couple of hours.

You mean Never Say Never Again, the last Sean Connery as Bond movie. It was one of Rowan (Mr. Bean) Atkinson's earliest roles.

It must be that one, yeah. It was with Sean Connery.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Good movie. Lots of humor.

I'm not normally a Nick Cage fan but he did quite well in this one.

I don't want to see that because Mickey Mouse is the one and only Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

Not bad, but the script needed a few more rewrites.

Easy A. Not a bad flick.
