What was the last movie you saw?
Finally saw the Watchmen. Interesting.
I don't know anything about the comic, er, Graphic Novel, so I'm just going on the flick itself. I might just snag a copy for myself when the price drops, although I didn't care for the lack of specials or commentary. Seems like it was rushed to the DVD market.

Another flick I just saw is the Criterion edition of Brazil.
I'm still twitching and grinning over that one.

The Lost Boys.
So much 80s kitch I couldn't stop laughing. Which is sad, because when it came out I was really blown away by it.

I just saw District 9.
Really liked it.
Really liked it.
How can anyone not
I liked District 9, although I'm not sure it's a movie I'm really interested in seeing again. Too many animated characters running around.
I also watched Body of Lies this weekend. I thought it was good, but I'm partial to DiCaprio.

I finally saw Gran Torino. I really liked it, and i understand why they ended it they way they did, but i'd also wished they'd gone in a different direction than they did.

I just bought a cheap bookshelf to hold all of my DVDs. I count about 160 on it.

and probably a few of movie badness.
The visuals don't hold up.
North by Northwest. Good god that man was a stick fiddling master.
Favorite moment: Cary Grant climbs through the window in some chicks hotel room. She angrily says "STOP!" and then puts on her glasses, looks at Grant, and coquettishly says "...stop". He just looks at her, sticks out one finger, waves it, and goes "Nyyyyaaahh".

Yes, most definitely. I just watched "Evil Bong", a 2006 movie that featured Tommy Chong.

It was odd. I doubt I would have even watched it if Tommy wasn't involved.
Also cheaply made - there was only two locations in the whole movie. I did titter a bit when Tommy ran a Hot Wheels car over a young woman's naked breast. Silly Grandpa.....

Last night: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, featuring Neil Patrick Harris from the 2008 screenwriters strike. Pretty good; less than an hour, some good laughs. Available through Netflix or iTunes Store.
Tonight: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (3D), also (oddly enough) featuring Neil Patrick Harris (as a monkey, though). Really great movie, recognized some parts from the book. Innovative, good use of 3D, laughed throughout it. One of the best movies of the year by far IMHO.

I'm starting to really like Daniel Craig as an actor, which surprises me because I had automatically discounted him when he took on James Bond.

BSG The Plan
Liked it, want more BSG.
Harry Potter 6
Liked it as all the others, but I'm starting to like the idea that the last book could be split into 2 movies.

Just got back from This Is It. It's easy to forget how unbelievably talented Michael was. If you *ever* considered yourself a fan, you should see the film. The sad part is, it really is it. If you had any question that his death was a homicide, this footage shows that he really was still in the game. RIP MJ. You made the world a better place.

The Shining.
Great movie, but it's crazy to think about how much work Stanley Kubrick put into that thing. I believe it holds the world's record for most takes for a single shot (around 150).

Just watched Crank 2 last night. Funniest damned movie I have seen in a long time. Watched Transformers 2 this morning. It was pretty good. Not as good as I had hoped, but pretty good.
