This is the last video for "French pop week". Next week will be a bit different.
I've picked Sylvie Vartan, but had a bit of trouble deciding which song to post. I chose Le Locomotion because it's live and captures her charisma pretty well.
This might be longer than you're willing to watch--it's not AWFUL but it is a bit lacking in energy and spontaneity, and the main interest is more like a (Russian) bear dancing: not that he does it well but that he does it at all--but check the screen at 1:44 and 2:57: isn't that Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell? Plus at 1:51 just after the first Goldie/Kurt appearance, that is Kevin Costner standing, clapping along, right?
There might be other celebrities that I missed or I am just not aware of--having stopped paying attention to much of paparzzi-dom for about a decade now.
That was an amazingly spot on imitation of Ann Wilson. I picked another YouTube performance by Gretchen Wilson and she certainly has the vocal chops to do it.

Yeah. I had looked for that performance a few times and never found it. I'm really glad it's on You Tube now. It was cool that Nancy Wilson came out and played.
I've been meaning to sample more of Gretchen Wilson, but i never got around to it. Maybe when i have some time this week.
"The older i get, the less i care about what people think of me. therefore the older i get, the more i enjoy life."
"Life is so constructed, that the event does not, cannot, will not, match the expectation."
So what's the theme for this week? You'll either love it or hate it: Mexican rock bands of the 60's. Their names alone just kill me. For instance: Los Belmonts.
Pretty good song, though: Amarrado, a Spanish cover of the Dave Clark Five's "Glad All Over".
