Billie Eilish: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert

I thought, her at tiny desk? really? how is that gonna work?

And then the first song blew me away. And the next one. Wow. I never expected that. She can sing and she is good.

This equation will change how you see the world (the logistic map)

Even if you suck at math, this is actually a pretty cool video.

Man, that video missed a lot of really important stuff, and included a lot of stuff that wasn't really important at all.

In fairness, a lot of crap happened after that song was produced - which kind of makes the point, really.

Oh I understand that, but 2020 has a very complex human waste potpourri, and removing just a little bit of it really leaves out a vital part of the shittiness that has been this year. You know what I mean?

I bought some stuff from a Kohl's which is about a half hour away from here, and they left the magnetic inventory control devices on them. I didn't want to waste an hour of my life, so I ordered some neodymium magnets, and when I used them, the inventory control devices popped right off.

Table saw. :p

My last two online Kohl's orders were wrong in my favor. #1 I got a really nice blanket (instead of the cheap flipflops I ordered) and #2 I got a 'free' scented candle (ordered 2 got 3.) I think the process control in their warehouses may need some improvement.

I've been looking for some new blankets. Tell me which flipflops you ordered.

My wife had one of those ink tags left on a garment once. I didn't realize that they could be easily removed with strong magnets, so I wrapped the tag in a towel, carefully freed the ink tubes with a dremel tool cutting disk, then ground the tag down until it popped off.

A shame I didn't know about that trick - I actually have a small supply of those magnets harvested from old hard disks.

Yes, it is 24 minutes long and you do NOT have to watch it all to see the results, but I think most people will want to see it all.

Once the Pink Floyd started, I had to separate myself. My prediction: might be amusing, but won't be as good as the miniseries.

How many times will they sell the same thing over and over again when there's tons of other good source material out there?

The David Lynch movie was good. It got me to read the book when I was 14. The book was okay.

2067 - Official Trailer

Quote:
By the year 2067, Earth has been ravaged by climate change and humanity is forced to live on artificial oxygen. An illness caused by the synthetic O2 is killing the worlds’ population and the only hope for a cure comes in the form of a message from the future: “Send Ethan Whyte”. Ethan, an underground tunnel worker, is suddenly thrust into a terrifying new world full of unknown danger as he must fight to save the human race.

Looks like a decent film, but an "illness caused by synthetic O2" ? That sounds dumb.
