A cheap paper helmet for bicycle riders that folds out from a form that is about the size of a large banana. Vimeo at link.

This was also recently awarded a James Dyson Award.

The paper is coated with something which lets it be water-resistant for up to 4 hours. It is good for only ONE solid impact--so perhaps not for people doing mountain biking--but it is cheap and light enough that a rider could carry more than one.

All bike helmets are only good for one real hit.

But for some reason, football helmets are infinitely reusable. :goth:

The forces involved are at least an order of magnitude lower. A reasonably well made helmet can absorb more than a few of those over its lifetime.

This is so great. Original Ultraman still wins for classic style.

Drone tracks Siberian tigers through the snow.

Apparently this was shot at a Canadian zoo, Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien.

While very pretty and nicely done, I kept thinking that the TIGERS were thinking: "Damn noisy flying thing keeps following us and scaring away EVERYTHING."

Find My Phone

An interesting film about a guy who surveills a phone thief using the stolen phone. Note that this version is in English - the original is in Dutch.

Having a mustache helps with that maneuver.

Personally I hate drinking beer out of a bottle.
