I remember practicing those dance moves on the playground. I think I was about as good, too. Ha!

Pivot

Very cool animation. 5 mins.

When a man is witness to a murder and takes pictures of the killer, he has to run for his life. During the chase he is able to turn the tables and the prey becomes the hunter. All resulting in an unfortunate ending.

Ummm, was that when you were young enough to be on the playground as someone other than the caretaker of the kids? :paranoid:

Reagan was president when I was born. I am a child of the 80s.

My Grandpa used to watch Prince practice at the armory before he got famous. I find that very amusing, for some reason.

Sign Language

Only 3 minutes

The "mockumentary" short film Sign Language is unexpectedly heart-warming.

"My workplace is wonderful, and I want to share it." These
are the opening words of Ben – a man who holds a sign for a living, and
loves his job more than almost anything. But today is his last day. What happens next?

On February 11, NASA launched a Atlas V rocket. The rocket went supersonic (1:53 in the video) at an altitude where ice crystals in the sky made the sonic boom visible.

human waste, it must have required multiple takes just to get the camera angles right.

But I thought I detected a couple of potential breaks in the action ... like the thing was set off in sections instead of one continuous take, so if anything goes wrong they don't have to set it all up again. There may even have been some edits in there.

Also, one continuous take would have required them to be running around like crazy getting set up for each shot that the band members were in. That's not really the place you'd want to be running in. Also, keeping everything synced with the music is hard. Most music videos require a lot of takes just so the lip-sync and instrument playing matches up.

Apparently it was a continuous take, and took a long time to get it right.
