Let me guess: "Barbie Girl" again?
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

...so I'm supposed to find the Shadow King from inside a daiquiri?

Ian McKellen receives an award, drops his mike to his side, launches into soliloque from Shakespeare’s "Sir Thomas More".

The linked smartphone video starts after he began the soliloque.

The text he is reciting can be found here about halfway down.

The Trevor Project is a program helping the LGBTQ community. Um, the "Q" is for "questioning".

Found a better quality version.

Ian McKellen is totally stick fiddling incredible. I loved his turn on "Extras". Even as a slightly off kilter version of himself, he was still fabulous.

I was wandering around an old rock rabbit hole on Youtube and found this very recent Head East video. I always had a soft spot for Head East, they were a staple of the upper Midwest bar scene for several years before Flat As A Pancake came out. They were from Monroe Wisc which was just thirty miles down the road from my home town and when they hit it big it was kinda cool.
Kinda nice to see they are still doing stuff.
Here is Headeast with a full orchestral backup! :D

They focus on Apple, but the reality is that every major electronics manufacturer uses the same factories, sources, etc. Apple just makes a crap ton of money, so they get the "blame"

Still, an interesting expose of Chinese working conditions.

Divers off the coast of Turkey spot mysterious, nearly transparent blob about a dozen feet across. Vimeo video at link.

Best guess from a scientist at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History: an egg mass from a local squid. To be sure: it would be one of the largest such egg mass ever seen and the egg-laying habits of the large red flying squid (the suspected species) are not known.

Every Dads prayer:

"I Will Take You Home (Little Girl Lost)"

Little girl lost
In a forest of dreams.
It's a dark old wood
And it's damp with dew.
Hoot owl hoots
For a moment it seems
Something big and cold
Just got ahold of you.
Just when everything gets scary,
Daddy's come 'round for his darlin' again.
Hold my hand with your little fingers.
Daddy's loving arms gonna gather you in.
Ain't no way the Bogeyman can get you,
You can close your eyes, the world is gonna let you,
Your daddy's here and never will forget you,
I will take you home.
I will take you home.
Gonna carry you back home
In my arms.
I will take you home.

Long is the road
We must travel on down.
Short are the legs
That will struggle behind.
I wish I knew for sure
Just where we're bound,
What we will be doin'
And what we're gonna find.
Wherever we go, there will be birds to cheer you
Flower to color in the fields around.
Wherever we go, I'll be right here near you
You can't get lost when you're always found.

Ain't no fog that's thick enough to hide you
Your daddy's gonna be right here beside you
If your fears should start to get inside you
I will take you home.
I will take you home.
Gonna carry you back home
In my arms.
I will take you home.
