Videographer captures bolide over recent (11/8) Modest Mouse concert in Austin. As it happened the song he was playing was "Dark Center of the Universe".

Um, marginally NSFW (depending on how you feel about that recent Kim Kardashian butt pic): Break the Coffee Maker.

My first contribution to this thread, sorry if it's already been posted:

I think in the Random Image thread there was at least one post which showed these curious and elaborate structures found on the bottom of the ocean at around 50 feet, but I have no idea when those posts were made so with 350 pages to scan I did not look for them. Pics like this:

Image

It turned out that they are being made by male pufferfish as nests. The structures have a purpose: they disrupt water currents to minimize their flow as they go across them, enabling females to lay their eggs near the center so the male can fertilize them.

Is it wrong for me to wish for a good remake of that movie?

The tv version was a decent effort. I actually don't mind the older one that much.

An absolutely FABULOUS dance rendition of Frozen's "Let It Go". Yeah, yeah--I know you're tired of the song but watch this one.

My daughter got a Frozen Elsa bear at Build-a-Bear workshop. Naturally, she put the "Let it Go" soundtrack clip in it. I was seriously tempted to hold it out of the car window on the drive home and let it go... :goth:

Hacking Keurig 2.0's DRM. Apparently imbedded in part of the lids of the new Keurig coffee containers is a form of RFID which identifies it as an official Keurig container. Cut one off and tape it into your Keurig coffee maker.
