Any users here? How much do you pay? Right now im on my second free trial, but am not sure i will pay. However, im getting irritated with iHeart Radio which carries my preferred station. Since i work out of the area, it was perfect. Until it wasn't. Recently, new songs start before the old finishes, or halfway thru a song, it goes to commercial, or halfway thru a commercial, it goes to another commercial. It doesn't seem to happen when i listen to the station directly. Only when i listen thru the app. So, i may just go with Sirius.

So do any of you use it?

I have a Sirius radio with a lifetime subscription, and I haven't used it in several years. It's not the kind installed in my car, but instead a portable model that can go into a cradle in your home and/or in your car. I have both a home cradle and a car cradle.

Back in the day before their merger, XM had a rock station called "Ethel" and there were no DJs and it was like a great jukebox to hear new rock music. Other than that, they both had a lot of good channels.

After the merger, though, the quality went down. Ethel was merged into Sirius' "Alt Nation" station, which, was a better station before the merger, but now sucks even more.

Honestly, I can't recommend Spotify enough. Pandora is also good, but Spotify is excellent. No DJs, it plays songs based on whatever songs or artists you like, you can play other people's playlists, and you can play it on your phone through your car's bluetooth. And if your car doesn't have bluetooth you can get a bluetooth adapter to play your phone's audio through your car, and a bluetooth dashboard remote that just sticks to your dashboard(or anywhere else), and which requires no installation, just peel and stick.

The installation of those two bluetooth devices took maybe five minutes combined. All that was required was plugging the bluetooth adapter into the lighter outlet, plugging the cable into the car's aux port, and then sticking the bluetooth remote onto the dashboard.

You do need to pair the two devices to your phone's bluetooth, but that was simple.

The battery on the bluetooth remote has lasted me a year each time I've gotten it. I'm on probably my fourth or fifth year. It's simple to replace.

I also got a magnetic mount that goes in my car's old CD drive for my dashboard. I can just set my phone on the mount, and it sticks magnetically, and when I'm done, I just grab my phone and get out of the car. Again, no installation, as you just push it into the front of the CD player slot and then flip down a switch to lock the mount in place. This makes it even better for if I want to put my phone on my dashboard to see the screen, for turn-by-turn GPS or to glance over, seeing what music is playing, or calls.

So yeah, Spotify++. I just sit in my car, set my phone on the magnetic mount, and control it with the bluetooth remote on my dashboard. No muss, no fuss.

Spotify
Spotify is currently not available in your country.

I use youtube for free streaming music. I also discover new music from youtube videos, and sometimes from random posts here, from reddit, or tumblr.

But I prefer to have music locally, no internet needed, even if ironically, I can realistically only listen to music on my computer.

I've been hounded after every car purchase and I refuse to bite. Maybe, if I drove long distances, it would be worth it. As it is, I prefer having my own mixes.

As do I, especially as I have over 4000 songs on a SD card in my phone.

I tried it. Didn’t like it any more than regular radio. Didn’t feel it was worth paying for.

It isn't happening when listening directly from the radio. Only when listening on the app, which i have to when out of the area.

I have til April 19 to decide, and then i'll tell them it costs too much. If they bring the cost waaaaay down, i might keep it. If not, i'll have to suffer thru the iHeart app.

I have for like 16 years, unless I take some early renewal deal, like $340 a year.

I think I’m gonna keep it. I’m hearing so much stuff that doesn’t get airtime anymore.

my neighbour has it and pays $5/month of it. He signed up for the free thing and when it was due to expire he called to cancel and they offered another 6 months at $5 per. after that was up he said we was going to cancel so they offered another 6 months at that price. this has now been 3 years and they keep offering him the $5 per month deal.

so what I'm saying is don't pay full price. :)

Theyve already offered to extend my all access free trial by 3 moths, and the all access subscription is only $8 and some change.
